In the prevention and early detection of illness, it is important to undertake regular health checkups throughout your life. Whilst, the frequency and types of tests vary from person to person, dependent upon factors such as genetics, lifestyle, age gender, and pre-existing illnesses, our GP's will help plan and deliver your preventative health plan.
Chronic Diseases Management
Our GP's, Consultant Specialists and Allied Health Professionals help patients manage chronic illnesses, such as asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, musculoskeletal conditions, and stroke.
Travel Medicine
If you plan on travelling overseas anytime soon, please book an appointment with one of our GP’s a few weeks prior to your travel. You shall receive health advice and immunisations for your particular travel destination.
Immunisations
Epping Family Medical & Specialist Centre provides childhood immunisation services run by nurses under doctor’s supervision. We also provide Travel Vaccination, Annual Flu Vaccination, Over-65-year-old Pneumonia and Shingles Vaccinations.
Mental Health
Our qualified psychologist has extensive experience in assessing and treating mental health issues in adolescents and adults. Depression, anxiety, phobia's and eating disorders are some areas that we can help you with.
Spirometry
At Epping Family & Medical Specialist Centre we provide Spirometry tests to detect lung function capacity. Spirometry measures the flow and volume of air entering and leaving the lungs and is used to help diagnose respiratory conditions, including asthma.

Minor surgical procedures
We perform minor surgical procedures in a safe and sterile environment, under general anaesthetic when necessary. Repairing cuts and lacerations, removing warts, and syringing of ear wax are some treatments we provide.
Health Assessments
Comprehensive Health Assessments are offered across all age groups. These include 4-year-old Kids Health Check, 45 – 49-year-old Check, Over 75-year-old Health Check, Diabetes Assessments and other Chronic Disease Assessments.

Home Medication Reviews
If you are taking medications we will discuss this with you to ensure that you are taking the right medications for your symptoms and that you are taking the medication correctly.
Nurse Support
Our nurses practice a holistic and patient-centred approach to healthcare, working seamlessly alongside our GP's and Allied Health Professionals. They assist with treating minor wounds and providing evidence-based health advice in the management of chronic disease.
ECG
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a non-invasive and safe medical procedure that is used to detect heart problems. At Epping Family & Medical Specialist Centre we may recommend an ECG if you have a family history of heart disease or are suffering from chest pains, breathlessness, fainting, dizziness or irregular heart beats.
Leg Doppler
A leg doppler is a special type of ultrasound that is used to analyse the blood flow of arteries within your legs and abdomen, helping to diagnose heart valve defects, blood clots and congenital heart disease. It is a non-invasive procedure.
